Polished concrete suits coastal modern homes and contemporary offices. It reflects light and pairs well with natural wood, white walls and large windows.

How we achieve it

We refine the slab with a series of diamond passes, harden it with a densifier and bring it up to the level of shine you choose. A protective guard finishes it.

Considerations

The slab's natural character shows through. If you want a uniform color, a coating may be the better choice.

Care

A dust mop and pH-neutral cleaner keep it looking good. Periodic burnishing restores shine.

Designing with stain and aggregate

Polished concrete can be colored with dyes during the process, from soft grays to warm sandstone tones. Grinding deeper exposes some of the stone in the slab for a terrazzo-like look. We do a small test area so you can see the result before committing.
